  Sarilyn stared at the book on her pillow for a few moments, and then
started to shake, as if she was scared of something.

  Then she did the most unespected thing..she turned, and buried her face
in Billy's shirt, just trying to take comfort from his nearness.  He was
both suprised, and confused, but his hands went around her, and he tried
to figure out what was going on that had her in such a state.

  << Chai?  She's not scared of me, is she? >>

  < No, silly!  If she was, would she be hugging you like that?  But she's
scared of something..she's shaking, can't you feel it? >

  Billy looked at the red-haired girl snuggled against him, and spoke
quietly to her, hoping to find out what was the matter.

  "Sarilyn, are you all right?  You're shaking like a leaf, and well, you
look uncomfortable.  Is it me?"
  
  < Bright, Billy, very bright.  But you came right to the point, I guess.
At least you'll find out now. >

  Sarilyn looked up, and Billy was suprised to see tears filling her eyes.
Woah, something was really wrong here...

  "Billy, I'm scared!  My father may be in big trouble, and I sent the
messenger back to warn him, and tell him I got his message, and..."  It
all came out in a rush, the whole story.  By the time she was done, she
was shuddering as if she was half freezing, and trying to talk around
hiccuping sobs.

  "Please, don't leave me alone right now.  I'm scared to be alone!"
