[Morning of Day 4 - Ilara wakes]

She'd dreamt of her family.... the wraiths, swirling round and round
trying to find a way in, and then Demathrin found her.... carried her
off to safety, and then was gone.

When she opened her eyes to the faint first rays of light entering the
bedroom, she found that the covers were twisted tightly all around her,
telling of a disturbed sleep.

<Erk, are you awake?> Ilara asked as she disentangled herself, wondering
for a moment at the silence.  *Rhia's music, that's what's missing,* she
told herself.

<Yes, my love....>  The metallic red dragon snorted loudly.  <Just a
little under the weather, is all.>

Ilara frowned as her bond-mate told her this.  <But.... Erk, are you
alright?>

<I don't know, 'lara.  Never felt so.... tired.>

The junior queenrider threw off the covers in alarm and, ignoring the
protests of many muscles, ran to the side of her dragon, who did look
unusually sleepy.  <Erk.... do you hurt anywhere?> she asked, putting
her hands against the hide of her bond-mate.... felt very warm, Ilara
decided, worriedly hugging her.

<No.... just tired,> Erk replied with a hint of a smile.

<Gods, Erk.... I'm going to get help.  Please, don't go anywhere.>

<Ha, oh.... that's a good one, 'lara.>


[Med-Centre]

Nineve probably spent more time calming down Ilara than finding out what
was wrong.

"She keeps on about being tired, " Ilara explained for the umpteenth
time.  "I just.... can't think of anything.... maybe she ate something
bad.... is she going to be all right?"

"Ilara, just as soon as we have a kit made up, we'll run on over.  You
might want to stay with Erkvinen."

"Oh."  She sighed and nodded, "Right.  Thanks, Nineve."

Well, I don't know where this is headed, but it puts Ilara and Erkvinen
on the ground for the time being.  Hadn't read anywhere of a dragon
falling ill, but someone's bound to have though of it before *grin*.
