   Veronyca was momentarily taken aback by the sudden way that B'lin
changed the subject, but quickly recovered and smiled up at him
sweetly.  "I suppose I could do that, just let me check and see if
Nineve needs me for anything else."  She looked at him to see if he
objected and when he said nothing proceeded to Nineve's office and
knocked on the door.

"Who is it?" Nineve asked from inside.

"It's Veronyca.  I just wondered if you needed me for anything else."

"No," came Nineve's voice from inside the office.  "You can go now if
you like."

"Thanks," Veronyca replied and headed back over to where B'lin was
waiting, communicating with Glimmer as she went. <~If he asks, tell
Jareth to tell D'rel that I'm at dinner~>  She looked up at B'lin as
she reached the place where he had been waiting.  

"All set?" B'lin asked as she walked over.

"Yes," she replied.  "Nineve said she won't be needing my help anymore
today.  We can go whenever you're ready."  She smiled up at him sweetly.

"Okay, let's go then."  B'lin extended his arm to her and the two of
them walked out of the med center.  Glay and Glimmer were waiting
outside.  Both dragons were standing a good distance away from
eachother and Glay was giving Glimmer dirty looks, which she was
ignoring.  Veronyca looked at them both and smothered a grin with her
free hand.

<~Glimmer, where did you bite him?~>

<~(full of laughter) Just his tail Red~>

<~Where on his tail?~>

<~(more laughter) The end, and not even very hard.  He is *so*
melodramatic~>

<~Well don't irritate him too much or you'll end up with him never
leaving you alone.  What would Jareth think of that?~>

<~Jareth would *make* him leave me alone~>

   When Glimmer said the last phrase she sounded so smug and self
assured that Veronyca just had to laugh.  B'lin gave her a questioning
look when she started laughing and in answer she simply pointed at
Glimmer, who was sitting there looking dignified.  He rolled his eyes.

<~Women, Glay.  I'll never understand them~>

<~I don't *want* to understand them.  But you have to admit that they
are fun~>

<~Very true~>

   B'lin was going to say more, but he noticed Veronyca watching him
with a questioning look on her face.  He smiled amiably.  "Shall we
go?" he asked, offering her his arm.  "Whenever you're ready," she
replied, taking his arm loosely.  "Then let's go," he said.  The two
of them headed toward the dining hall.  Veronyca looked back at
Glimmer, who was still ignoring Glay, and winked.

<~Behave dear one, and no more biting~>

<~(sigh) Oh all right~>

   Veronyca smiled to herself and turned her attention back to B'lin.
