~~Xylian~~

   D'rel left the med center after his meeting with Ilara and went
looking for Veronyca.  He needed to tell her what was going on and
where he was going.  He knew she wouldn't react well if he just
disappeared again.

<~Jareth, ask Glimmer where Veronyca is~>

<~Okay (brief silence) she's in the dining hall~>

<~Is she alone?~>

<~(another silence) No, she's with another rider...a male~>

<~Who?  Why?~>

<~Glimmer says that Ver is distracting the rider for Nineve~>

<~Oh, okay.  Have Glimmer tell her that we went to deliver a message
to the WarrenLady in Eos~>

<~Alright (very brief pause) done~>

   D'rel was already in his flight gear as he hadn't changed yet from
the battle, so he walked over to Jareth and vaulted to his back. 
<~Let's go Jar.  The sooner we go, the sooner we get home~>  Jareth
launched himself into the air and the two hovered there for a moment
before disappearing.


~~Eos~~
   D'rel arrived in Eos late in the evening and went to the palace
immediately, going so far as to have Jareth land in the courtyard.  A
uniformed guard stopped him at the door.  "Who are you and what is
your business here," the guard asked.  "I am D'rel, a rider from
Xylian Warren, and I bring a very important message for Lady
Landress," he replied.  The guard conferred for a moment with another
guard standing there, then vanished into the palace.  After a few
moments, the guard returned and motioned for D'rel to follow him
inside.  "I'll take you to her now, sir," he said.  D'rel followed the
man inside.

   The guard led him to Rhia's suit of rooms and knocked on the door
softly. 

"Who is it?" called a soft, feminine voice from inside.

"It is the guard that was here before.  I've brought the rider D'rel
as you requested Lady," replied the guard.

   After a moment or two, the door opened and D'rel was led inside. 
The man who let D'rel in sent the guard away and then brought him over
to stand in front of Rhia.

"So what brings you here from Xylian, D'rel," asked Rhia.

"I've come with a message for you from Ilara, milady," he replied.

"Well let's here it then."

   D'rel cleared his throat and began.

"Well, we've fended off a fairly large wraith attack, but we've taken
more casu-alties than before.... the med centre's packed out. 
Ummm....seems like we'll be fine but I thought you'd want to come back
for the
funerals."

**end snip**

"And those were her exact words," he concluded.
