"Sari is it me are all these great and noble lords just petty vindictive 
children?" asked Billy shocked at the loathing a large number of lords had 
for Xylian and each other.
"No, I think the same." smiled Sari. Billy smiled back liking Sari a lot, 
but at the same time all he could think of were his encounters with Michael.

The trial broke for a respite at lunch time and Sari and Billy made their 
way back to their room.

Sari leaned forward to kiss billy as soon as the door was shut. Billy pushed 
her away after a brief kiss.
"Sari, do you love me?" asked Billy.
"Yes of course I do." said Sari.
"What about Ilara?" asked Billy.
"I thought we'd discussed this?"
"Well we did, but I've been thinking about it, and well I've met someone 
else and well I don't know what to say." said Billy looking at the shocked 
face of Sarylin, who was lokoing very pale and hurt.

"What is there to say." snapped Sari.
"I like you a lot, I love you."
"But you've met someone else you 'love' a lot more." snapped Sari.
"No, no that's not it at all. I think I love you as a best friend or my 
sister but not as my girl friend."

Billy saw the hurt in Sari's face and wished that he didn't have to hurt 
her, and wanting desperately to be her friend.
