*Belarade*

Gone almost as quickly as he had returned... Belarade turned her face
towards the rays of light streaming in through the gauzy white curtains of
her room.

<He did have to go to the funeral pyres...> Menia offered up feebly.

<I know... I know...>

What was she doing? She would ruin this relationship yet with her neediness
and insecurities..

<I've lost myself,> she whispered to the bright red dragon basking outside.
<I can't think of myself without thinking of him...>

<Is that such a bad thing? That you two are so entwined?>

<I don't think he is as consumed with me as I am with him...> Belarade
returned sadly.

<You're feeling sorry for yourself...and you're not taking into
consideration how torn up he is whenever there is trouble between the two of
you.>

Bel could feel her dragonmate stretch out it's wings, giving them a morning
shake to remove the dew that had accumulated during the night.

<For a moment last night with Sh'han... I felt like I was the only girl in
the warren...>

<Belarade...I don't have to tell you that he has many girls in this warren
that he makes feel the same way...>

Bel nodded to herself, but still remembered the dragonrider asking to please
her the night before...

<You should talk this out with Ce'Lot> Menia continued to deaf ears.

"Bel?" a familiar face peeked in at her.

"Mama..." Belarade smiled at first, and then her ears welled up with tears.
"I'm so glad you're here..."

"It's okay....it's okay..." the elder woman sat down on the edge of the bed
and patted her back gently while hugging her.

"Mama...I want to get out of here... I don't want to stay here any
longer..." Bel sobbed.

"I'll have Ce'Lot speak to the doctor here... He told me he would be back
sometime this afternoon..." Eurielle tried to convince her middle child.

"I think he wants to keep me here..." the red headed young woman continued.
"I'm out of his hair..."

"Bel...don't be ridiculous..." her mother shook her head. "He's very
concerned for you...he loves you....now lay back and rest..."

Belarade nodded and leaned back against the pillows, her eyes growing heavy
as the paranoia from her addiction eased slightly.

<NRPG: Okay that's all I can write for right now, but I promise to tackle
B'Lin soon!>

Respectfully Submitted,
Belarade and Menia
Eurielle

You expected to be sad in the fall. Part of you died
each year when the leaves fell from the trees and
their branches were bare against the wind and the
cold, wintry light. But you knew there would always
be the spring, as you knew the river would flow again
after it was frozen.

-- A Moveable Feast, Ernest Hemingway
