Group Structure and Duties

5.1 The DragonLands game command hierarchy

1.The Club: World Weavers.
The DragonLands are part of a larger club, World Weavers (WW), which has many different interactive fiction settings. Please, feel free to check out the rest of WW for other role-playing opportunities. Information may be gotten by writing the Club Administrator, Carys Murray. The Club Administrator is the overall benign dictator of the club. Her responsibilities include: maintaining the club roster, sending out the newsletter, promoting the club, organizing the WeaverCon, and various other sundry items. Under the Club Administrator comes the World Administrators.

2. World Administrator:
The duties of the World Admin are pretty broad. Among other things, she keeps the web page and approves world-spanning threads or unusual new abilities. Inter-Warren conflicts or conflicts with your Warren Admin should be brought to her. Under her are the group of Warren Administrators who process new players, and answer questions.

3. The Warren Administrators:
Their job is to ensure that all members can enjoy themselves in RPing with the least amount of restriction or interference without allowing complete chaos. Warren admins have duties which include keeping the roster, biofile, web page and any additional information on a Warren roleplaying unit and providing these for the roster keeper, character assignment admins and new players as needed or requested; offering guidance to the story, mediating crossposting problems, and offering solutions to the players when/if they write themselves into a quagmire. The Warren Admin normally plays, among other characters, the character of the Warrenlady, the head of the Warren. Warren admins do not have authority to interfere with the development or direction of the storylines of their Warrens. Warren admins have the same authority to guide and shape the development of the scenario as any other member. They do NOT have control of the story and they cannot arbitrarily direct it, although they can exert considerable influence and most players will follow the lead of the Warren admin. Warren admins UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES may stop a story because of their own absence and may not cancel the development of the story on their return. If a Warren admin is out or unable to post for any reason, the Primary Junior Queenrider can become the temporary head of the warren if the story is being held up. Warren admins are required to follow the guidelines and traditions of WW and do not have authority to make new rules or requirements.

4. Primary Junior Queenrider:
Keeps the a summary of events (or timeline) for the Warren for cataloging on the web page. The JQ is also looked toward for guidance in the story. If the Warren Admin has to be away from the Internet for an extended period of time, the Primary Junior will take over as Admin. Think of it like Vice-President.

5. Other Positions:
From time to time other positions have been created in DragonLands. Some of these have included PR/Recruitment, Newsletter, and Training.

5.2 Socializing

Players often exchange emails and will meet to chat. Currently the primary chat module is ICQ -- though not always reliable, most people can download it for free and join the chats that occur most evenings. Once you are a member of your writing group, ask your Warren Admin for his or her ICQ number and join us there! We look forward to getting to know you!
